Registration failed: Key cannot be registered

MediaMonkey for Windows Gold license keys need to go through a validation process to complete the registration process. If you receive a message that the ‘Key cannot be registered’, it means that we don’t have a record of the license key/username that is attempting to register their Gold license. This can be because:

  • Our licensing system doesn’t yet have a record of your purchase (this is normally instantaneous)
  • Your key was changed at your request, and our licensing system doesn’t contain a record of the updated key
  • Your license is invalid

If this occurs, Gold functionality will remain active for 14 days, giving you time to complete the registration process. To complete the registration process:

  • Contact our helpdesk (sales) and open a ticket with the subject ‘Registration failed: key cannot be registered’
  • Provide us with your license username and key and as many unique pieces of information as possible to help us recover the order. e.g.:
    • other e-mail addresses that you may have used
    • e-mail you received containing the purchase/sales reference number
    • a copy of the receipt
